Town Council Meeting, 9/9: What to Watch For

A quick look at the agenda (downloads as a .pdf) suggests to me that the most interesting conversations will continue to surround “booze in the movie theater” (item number 12) and the general strategy for paying for the restoration of vacuum leaf pickup (items 24 and 25). Would be interested to see what others make of the agenda — to be honest, much of it is a hard read for me.
Also of note: The Courant is reporting that the state legislature denied West Hartford’s appeal to move the budget referendum to election day, meaning the referendum is slated for October 7th, as planned. Looks like everybody has a month to roll out the lawn signs …
